Sartorius Minisart syringe filters marry large surface and fast flow rate with innovative design to produce a range of filters ideal for analytical sample preparation, sterile filtration, and clarification of buffers, media additives, drugs, chemical reagents, and even gases.
Sartorius Minisart® syringe filters come with a choice of polypropylene housing or acrylic-based housing and also with glass fibre prefilters for particularly particle-laden liquids. They boast an effective filtration area of 6.2 cm2, are 100% optical integrity tested and are gamma irradiated, ethylene oxide sterilised, or, non- sterile and bulk packed.
Sartorius Minisart® syringe filters with polypropylene housing are optimally designed for the removal of particles from liquids and gases prior to analytics. Syringe filtration still remains the easiest and fastest method for small scale, precision solution filtration prior to column chromatography, substantially increasing column life.
Sartorius offers a number of Minisart filter options. The Minisart RC filter is optimised for aqueous liquids, solvents and chemicals. The Minisart NY is exceptionally fast and pure and perfect for analytical standard operations while the Minisart SRP’s coating-free hydrophobic PTFE membrane is ideal for venting applications and the leachable-free clarification needed for more aggressive liquids.
The Minisart® PES offers a combination of PES membrane and PP housing and has a higher chemical compatibility than PES in MBS housing. Sartorius Minisart syringe filters with acrylic-based housing are perfect for liquid cleanup and sterilisation, filter sterilisation being the fastest solution for removing bacterial cells from liquids while leaving the ingredients unaffected.
Membrane pore sizes ranging from 0.1 μm to 5 μm, for high flow rates and lowest adsorption characteristics, are available. Sartorius Minisart syringe filters with acrylic-based housing are well suited for adhesive attachment and assembly to tubing, making set-up configuration quick and straightforward.
The Minisart® syringe filters with glass fibber prefilters come with two different options. One, with polypropylene housing and nylon- polyamide membrane, has a broad chemical compatibility.
The other, with an acrylic-based housing and surfactant-free cellulose acetate membrane, is designed for aqueous and oily solutions. Both options are ideal for protecting the membrane filter to prevent early clogging and increases total throughput.
