Pharmacology 2018 will feature a sponsored seminar session and talks from BMG LABTECH on Microplate reader methods for the study of GPCRs.
The British Pharmacological Society’s flagship annual meeting attracts more than 1,100 scientists from across the world. This year’s event will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London from 18-20 December.
As well as occupying Stand 27, BMG LABTECH have sponsored a seminar session on Microplate reader methods for the study of GPCRs. Speakers from Nottingham University will give an overview of the fluorescence, Luminescence (BRET) and TR-FRET methods they commonly use, and will present representative data of each method along with tips and hints for assay set up and data interpretation.
The session will feature:
Talk 1 - A practical guide to using fluorescence and bioluminescence to study ligand binding at GPCRs - Dr Leigh Stoddart, University of Nottingham (see related application note here)
Talk 2 - Studying the kinetics of ligand binding using fluorescent ligands and TR-FRET
- David Sykes, Senior Experimental Officer, University of Nottingham. (see the related video here)
Talk 3 – Microplate reader features that add value for GPCR assays - Catherine Wark, Applications Manager, BMG LABTECH UK and Ireland
