BUCHI will be showcasing some of its original products at this year’s Lab Innovations as part of its 80 year anniversary celebrations.
Originally establishing a glass-blowing workshop in the cellar of a house in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, Walter Buchi started out on the eve of the Second World War with an inheritance of an old glassblower and a bicycle – and not one customer.
Since then, BUCHI has grown into an international company with more than 750 employees and offices all over the globe which supply laboratory equipment to scientists in the pharmaceutical, chemistry, environmental, food and feed industries.
Products on show at Lab Innovations will include original items lent by the BUCHI museum in Switzerland, such as Rotavapors. Taking pride of place will be the very first BUCHI product, a spirit level that was designed and built by founder; the design of which still adorns the company logo today.
