A newly engineered cantilevered laboratory Vee Cone Blender with Intensifier Bar provides a flexible platform for evaluating and optimising blending parameters across a wide range of bulk solids, with or without liquid additions.
Designed for laboratory development and small-batch production, the VCB Series features a cantilevered mounting system that accommodates interchangeable vee cone vessels in six capacities, ranging from 0.24 to 15.14 litres. This modular approach allows users to scale test volumes easily without compromising performance.
The blender’s twin-cylinder vee configuration promotes efficient, gentle mixing. With each end-over-end rotation, materials cascade, converge, and separate, producing highly uniform blends — typically within 5 to 15 minutes. Because the mixing action relies on gravity rather than high-shear agitation, product integrity is maintained and material degradation is minimised.
Polished internal surfaces enable unrestricted material flow and ensure complete discharge through a gate valve. The optional Intensifier Bar assists in breaking down soft agglomerates and enhancing material dispersion, while an available Dispersion Bar applies liquid additions directly into the moving material stream for fast, even distribution throughout the batch.
Sanitation and inspection are simplified by the absence of product hold-up areas. Full access to material contact surfaces through the discharge valve and cylinder doors allows for rapid cleaning and straightforward visual verification between runs.
The system’s control panel — which may be mounted locally or remotely — provides continuously variable adjustment of programmable operating functions, offering precise control over blending parameters.
Fabricated from #316 stainless steel, the blender is available in finishes suitable for USDA, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments.
In addition to laboratory-scale units, the company manufactures 17 production-scale Vee Cone Blenders with capacities from 28 litres to 5.66 m³. Its broader mixing and blending portfolio includes Rotary Batch Mixers, Ribbon, Paddle and Plow Blenders, Fluidised Bed Mixers, Rotary Continuous Mixers and Variable Intensity Blenders. Size reduction solutions range from Pin Mills and Screen Classifying Cutters to Attrition Mills, Lump Breakers, Rotary Knife Cutters, Hammer Mills and Shredders.
