ChemSW announced in September 2002 the availability of Nist 02, the new Nist/EPA/NIH mass spectral database with more than 175,000 spectra and over 147,000 compounds
This was the largest increase in the history of the database.
Every spectrum has been evaluated to produce the first fully-evaluated database for the identification of unknown spectra.
ChemSW offers this database in the common Nist format and versions that are compatible with most manufacturers' data systems.
The program features multiple query options to match unknown spectra with identifiable compounds, and provides structure searching with the new Nist 02 Database.
Multiple user libraries can easily be created using Mol files.
A built-in utility enhances the analysis and examination of user data files, and a special interpreter illustrates the fragmentation of a structure compared to observed peaks in the mass spectrum.
"The mass spec search program with the new Nist 02 Database provides many enhancements for maximum ease of use and flexibility," explained Brian Stafford, president of ChemSW.
"We provide technical support for the application of this database program with a wide variety of different instruments."
