The purpose built site offers increased production capacity and means the company can capitalise on the exciting growth it has experienced in the past two years
Cardiff based ultrasonic cleaning equipment manufacturer Ultrawave have moved to Eastgate Business Park.
Ultrawave have been manufacturing ultrasonic cleaning systems for over 15 years and employ approximately 30 staff.
Used in medical, scientific and industrial applications, every benchtop and industrial bath is manufactured on site.
The baths use ultrasonic energy to clean surgical instruments, industrial components and many other items.
An environmentally friendly, solvent free technology, ultrasonic cleaning systems are being used more and more in a wide variety of industries.
Recent developments and success in new markets meant that Ultrawave outgrew its previous Oxford Street location.
With office and production facilities on the same site, the unit became too small to meet the company's requirements.
The production area at the recently completed Eastgate Park is more than double the size of the old building.
Furthermore, the new location offers greatly improved facilities for product research and development.
"It became essential that we expanded in order to meet our ever greater production requirements," said John Melville, Ultrawave managing director.
"We are confident that our new location will ensure that Ultrawave continues to expand and grow".
With the potential to develop the new building further, Ultrawave says it is confident the new facility will contribute to the continuing success of the company.
