Following the launch of the Parsec system for the microbiology and automimmune markets, Labmedics is now extending its catalogue by adding a new range of allergy products
The company's innovative liquid allergy system (LAS) provides quantitative estimation of Total IgE and over 300 allergens for the determination of specific IgE.
The Liquid Allergy range, allied with the Parsec and Mago systems, offers an integrated approach for the calculation of IgE density and a greater correlation to the severity of allergic disease.
The analytical process is Reast (reverse enzyme allergosorbent test), which utilises a two-step, capture Elisa method with stabilised liquid biotinilated allergens.
This combination avoids any interference from allergen-specific IgE and/or total IgE.
The allergy range has the same analytical procedure and a solid phase for standards and samples.
Combined with Labmedics's Parsec and Mago automated systems, specific IgE, total IgE plus other allergy related assays can be performed within the same run.
With a list of over 300 allergens Labmedics offers says it one of the widest ranges of allergens and mixes available.
The clinical division of Labmedics is a UK supplier of laboratory instrumentation, offering a comprehensive range of products, including Konelab instrumentation and Chrono-log platelet aggregation system.
The company's success is based on providing customers with full application and technical support, including product training, service and after sales.
