O'Neil will be responsible for overseeing GenVault's sales, manufacturing and engineering operations in support of the growing market for biosample storage
GenVault has announced that Don O'Neil has joined GenVault as its vice president of operations effective 2 January 2007.
O'Neil has more than 13 years experience in life science product development.
Most recently he was a global business area director at Invitrogen.
"As GenVault ramps its commercial efforts this year, I'm pleased to have Don join us at this critical time," said David Wellis, CEO of GenVault.
"With Don's domain knowledge and successful experiences at both large and small life science companies, he is a key addition to the senior management team".
O'Neil will be responsible for overseeing GenVault's sales, manufacturing and engineering operations in support of the growing market for biosample storage.
At Invitrogen, O'Neil was responsible for growing the commodity cell culture business by 10 percent through application specific product introductions and by streamlining operations.
O'Neil has held additional posts at Illumina , Graviton , Discovery Partners International, and Energy Science Laboratories, and was a Kauffman Fellow at Domain Associates.
