Qiagen has announced that Hans Peter Fatscher has been promoted to the position of vice president sales life sciences
Hans Peter Fatscher joined Qiagen in 2001 where he held management positions in sales and sales-related areas, most recently as director global customer satisfaction.
In his new role, he will be responsible for Qiagen's life science sales organisation in North America.
He will also assume a newly created role to standardise commercial processes across the company's North American sales organisations (life sciences [which includes pharma/biotech and academia], applied testing and molecular diagnostics).
"Hans Peter spent nearly 25 years in life sciences and brings a wealth of experience to his new role", said Bernd Uder, senior vice president global sales.
"His business experience and proven track record will be a great addition to the leadership of our strong North American sales organisation in life sciences".
Hans Peter Fatscher joined Qiagen as general manager sales Germany and marketing director Europe and international in 2001.
He was instrumental in creating very successful organisations in those regions, which are among the fastest growing regions at Qiagen.
In 2004 he was promoted to the position of director global customer satisfaction.
After graduating with a PhD in molecular genetics in 1987, Hans Peter Fatscher started his career as a sales representative in the life science industry.
In 1991 he joined a Boehringer Ingelheim subsidiary in Germany as sales director, where he held various vice president positions in sales and marketing, before he became member of the managing board.
Between 1998 and 2001, he headed his own consultancy firm.
Hans Peter is based in Germantown, Maryland.
