Esco Technologies has named Mike Martin as general manager of its US operations following the company's move from Houston, TX to Hatboro (Montgomery County/Philadelphia) PA in March, 2007
Martin will manage the company's USA sales, service, technical support and distribution programs directed at life science, pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical and industrial laboratories.
He brings to Esco more than 28 years of experience in laboratory equipment manufacturing, compliance, marketing and sales.
Previously, Martin was general manager of Lancer Sales USA.
Prior to joining Lancer, he spent 25 years with Forma Scientific and was part of the transition to Thermo.
During his tenure at Forma/Thermo Martin held many positions including electronic engineer; regulatory compliance engineer; product compliance manager; product manager for biological safety cabinets, washers, circulators, alarm systems; field sales in Florida; senior product manager for incubators, freezers, biological safety cabinets; and director of international marketing for all Thermo products produced at Thermo Forma, Thermo Savant, Thermo IEC.
Martin has been a member of NSF Standard 49 Standards Committee, UL Standards Advisory Board, a member of ABSA and CETA.
Martin was responsible for all regulatory issues associated with the purchase of Contamination Control (CCI) and the eventual production move to Forma where he performed all biological tests and other NSF required tests for new cabinet certification.
During his tenure as director of international marketing at Thermo Forma, Martin was the recipient of the State of Ohio Governor's award for excellence in exporting.
