ClinPhone EDC is a single data management system that unifies the capabilities and functionality of paper data entry into one, easy-to-use platform.
Cdisc is the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, a global non-profit organisation that has developed standards to support the acquisition, exchanges, submission and archive of clinical research data and metadata to streamline clinical trials and improve data quality and patient safety.
ClinPhone is the first clinical technology organisation to receive this accreditation, which verifies that ClinPhone's EDC product has been successfully validated and given Cdisc certified status for its ODM Export capabilities.
Users can run a snapshot or archival export on demand and share the validated clinical data with any internal or external system through ClinPhone Connect.
This functionality allows for timely decision-making based on an accurate, single version of validated clinical data.
Steve Kent, CEO of ClinPhone comments: "It is gratifying that ClinPhone is the first in the industry to receive this accreditation for our EDC product.
"As a member of Cdisc, we have worked closely with the consortium over the years to secure the introduction of this new industry standard.
"Our EDC product was successfully audited by Cdisc in February 2007, leading to this new accreditation for the ODM export capabilities".
The pharmaceutical industry has made moves towards end-to-end processing with the Cdisc data model for common standards, and ClinPhone has a strategic commitment to this concept.
To support the continuing demands for systems integration that follows in the path of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, the Cdisc operational data format model drives the adoption of common standards across the industry.
Becky Kush, president and CEO of Cdisc states, "We are very excited to kick-off the new Cdisc certification programme and would like to thank ClinPhone for all of its hard work to become one of our first certified partners".
