GT Vision announces the launch of Applied Spectral Imaging's (ASI) innovative AutoMate tray loader to meet the most demanding needs for multi slide scanning
The AutoMate Tray Loader is available as an add-on to ASI's nine-slide stage ScanView platform.
It allows unattended, continuous scanning of 81 slides.
Combination of fluorescent and bright-field scans and tray replacements are fully supported for non-stop operation.
The Slides are loaded into nine trays, each containing nine slides and it supports continuous loading/unloading capability to accommodate varying workloads.
AutoMate includes barcode reading for automatic case and sample identification and an optional oil dispenser for unattended object finding followed by high magnification capture using oil immersion objectives.
The scans can be user-definable or multiple regions can be defined to match any sample types, it also supports Pre-Scan preview for definition of regions of interest in tissues AutoMate is compatible with both Olympus and Zeiss automated microscopes and includes facilities such as automatic skip on empty slides and trays with the ability to rapidly review results of any slide in the tray by a simple click of the mouse.
AutoMate has very fast tray loading which includes the bar code reading in a single action.
Ian Baldwin, GT Vision's sales director said: "AutoMate is a real breakthrough in motorised microscopy and has so many unique features designed to make the whole process fast, simple and efficient".
