These certified reference materials are useful to laboratories performing testing of environmental samples including paint, soil and dust for lead by atomic and emission spectroscopy
Environmental Reference Materials announces the addition of new products featuring ten lead in paint and soil standards.
Certificates of analysis for all products are given along with price information and Nist (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceability.
These products include a new lot of blank paint ERM-6d (<10ppm lead), a new low level lead in paint ERM-8b (646ppm lead) and a new high level lead paint in soil ERM-12a (5273ppm lead).
They can be used in meeting quality control requirements of the American Industrial Hygiene Association's (AIHA) Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (Ellap) that accredits testing laboratories under the US EPA's National Lead Laboratory Accreditation Programme and as practice samples for laboratories participating in the AIHA's Environmental Lead Proficiency Analytical Testing programme (Elpat).
The laboratories accredited under these programs are authorized under US regulations to perform testing to assess the hazard from lead-based paint in buildings, ships and surrounding areas undergoing abatement procedures.
These certified reference materials are ideal as spiking materials or as separate quality control standards for use during testing of paints and soils for Lead.
Other Nist-traceable products available are ERM-6c lead free paint (<9ppm), ERM-7a lead free soil (<4ppm) and ERM-9a lead paint in soil (484ppm), and RTI International products LCS-401, blended paints from public buildings, (4430ppm lead) and LCS-301, northeast urban soil (547ppm lead non-Nist traceable products are lead paint in soil standard ERM-9 (558ppm) and lead free soil ERM-7 (8ppm).
All products are available in 50g units.
