Peak Analysis software module be used in isolated tissue studies, hemodynamic measurements, amperemetry, cardiac physiology, neurophysiology and current measurements
ADInstruments has launched Peak Analysis, a new Chart software module for use with PowerLab data acquisition systems.
The module speeds up and enhances analysis of peaks in waveform data for life science researchers.
PowerLab Systems and Chart software are used to acquire, display and analyse a virtually unlimited range of physiological signals.
The Peak Analysis module extends the system's capabilities by providing automatic detection and analysis of peaks in waveform data previously recorded by Chart, or online as the data is acquired.
Peak Analysis users can choose to analyse peaks in an entire channel of waveform data, or a selected section.
The software generates a graphical display of each peak incorporating markers of relevant parameters.
Peaks and their calculated parameters are also logged into a table.
Further, the module can display any calculated parameters as continuous signals in Chart channels.
The software includes a range of preset analysis types suited to general and specific waveforms.
Software settings easily adjust which parameters are derived, and how those parameters are calculated.
Peak Analysis is ideal for examining specific signals such as action potentials, cardiac action potentials, evoked responses, population spikes, synaptic potentials, as well as any general waveforms without stimuli.
The software fast tracks peak waveform analysis allowing scientists to arrive at research outcomes sooner.
