With no increase in footprint the Virtis Advantage Plus is available with up to three shelves, giving a maximum useable shelf area of 0.27m2.
Biopharma unveils its latest lab-scale, bench-top freeze dryer - the Virtis Advantage Plus.
The Virtis Advantage is one of the smallest shelf freeze-dryers available, its small size packed with features including state-of-the-art controls and full temperature control.
But now the Advantage has evolved.
Priced with the smallest lab in mind it offers the capabilities of a pilot scale freeze dryer without the cost of one.
The shelves are now silicone-cooled to maintain the kind of tight temperature normally found in production units.
A newly expanded and redesigned condenser coil will hold up to six litres.
Pneumatic stoppering is available as an option to easily seal three shelves of vials at any chamber pressure.
This is accomplished with an inert gas back-fill port.
As with the single-shelf Advantage, the Advantage Plus has complete flexibility to process in bulk, vials or flasks.
The Advantage Plus features the powerful Wizard2.0 control system, which allows storage of up to 16 recipes.
It is available with condenser temperatures as low as -85C to enable processing of a wide range of samples.
Biopharma Process Systems represents Virtis throughout the UK and Ireland.
