Leipziger Messe, organiser of Lab 2007, says that the show will host 88 exhibitors from countries including the UK, USA, France, Italy, Finland, the Netherlands and Germany
Lab 2007 has now reached the ambitious exhibitor number target set for the launch of this biennial trade fair and conference, which takes place from 2-4 October 2007 at Excel London.
The exhibition will welcome visitors from over 13 countries, and will showcase the latest products and technologies from a range of global manufacturers including Eppendorf, Starlims, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Anachem.
The accompanying conference, which runs from 2-3 October, aims to provide delegates with the opportunity to take part in seminars focusing on current industry issues such as biosafety and biosecurity, of particular relevance due to the recent outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the UK.
With a wide range of industry speakers including Simon Parks of the Health Protection Agency centre for emergency preparedness and response, the conference provides the ideal forum for knowledge sharing and acquisition.
Thermostat and measuring instrument specialist Lauda will be exhibiting on stand D02, including the Integral XT process thermostats, the Aqualine waterbaths and a range of viscometers and tensiometers.
Lauda's process thermostats are designed to cope with fast temperature changes, achieving an operating range of -50C to +300C.
The Aqualine range comprises five waterbath sizes, each with extremely high reliability for basic laboratory applications.
The new bubble pressure tensiometer MPT C has been added to the family of Lauda tensiometers.
As opposed to scientific research tensiometers, the final step has been taken for the full automation of dynamic surface tension measuring.
The extremely compact stand-alone device offers all the necessary features for the simple measurement of dynamic surface tensions in the laboratory or as a mobile device.
On stand F06b, Malvern Instruments will exhibit the Zetasizer Nano particle and molecular characterisation system, and will introduce the latest additions to the company's range of particle characterisation, rheology and chemical imaging systems.
An innovative 'chromatography flow-mode' option for the Zetasizer Nano enables the system to perform in-line chromatography detecting for protein analysis, including absolute size exclusion chromatography (Asec).
Starlims Technologies will present its version10 laboratory information management system (Lims) on stand B06 at Lab 2007 This innovative Lims software has recently received the 'Designed for EMC Documentum' accreditation..
On stand D12c, Courtage Analyses Services offers a cost-effective range of solutions for sample preparation and introduction for use in ICP-ICP/MS, AAS and IC applications, including polypropylene tubes for digestion and filtering vials for ion chromatography from Environmental Express.
Courtage will also present the new Peltier effect thermostated spray chamber (-10C to +60C) from Glass Expansion.
"We have been overwhelmed by the response to this premier of Lab 2007" comments Silvana Kuerschner, Lab 2007 project director.
"Visitor and exhibitor numbers are continually increasing, which reinforces our belief that there is a real need for this type of trade fair and conference in the UK.
"We look forward to a very successful event for all our visitors and exhibitors."
