Gambica, the association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology, has appointed Rod Taylor, founder and chairman of Seaward, as its president for the next two years
Rod Taylor takes over from Graeme Philp, chief executive, MTL Instruments.
Seaward, which includes the Seaward, Clare, Cropico, and Rigel brands, is located in the north east of England and supplies an international market.
Rod Taylor is a previous CBI regional chairman and has chaired a number of organisations involved in technology and innovation.
He was born in Nairobi, Kenya, educated at the University of Nottingham and is a Fellow of the IET.
