Ten Laboratorytalk readers can win a place at a celebratory dinner in Nottingham, UK, on 19 May 2008, to raise awareness of the UK attempt on the world water speed record by Quicksilver
To support the UK's bid to regain the world water speed record from Australia, the Quicksilver team is staging a celebrity dinner in Nottingham on the evening of Monday 19 May 2008.
A star-studded cast of sporting and speed champions has agreed to participate, and you could be one of ten lucky winners of a place at this prestigious event.
Confirmed guest speakers are football legend Jimmy Greaves, former England rugby captain Bill Beaumont, Monte Carlo Rally hero Paddy Hopkirk, and former World Superkart Champion Martin Hines.
Your prize consists of a free place at the Laboratorytalk table, three-course dinner, entertainment by the stars above and an update on the World Water Speed Record attempt by Nigel Macknight.
Laboratorytalk editor Russ Swan will host the table.
You will also have the opportunity to bid in a stand up auction to have a private audience with the celebrities for desert and be photographed with the star or stars of your choice and receive your photo framed and signed after the event and to enter a raffle for some exceptional prizes.
All in all a great evening's entertainment, and a memorable event is assured.
For your chance to win, simply email Russ today.
Winners must be available to attend the event on Monday 19 May 2008 in Nottingham; travel and accommodation is not included.
Winners will be notified by e-mail no later than Thursday 15 May.
This event is being staged at the same venue as the eight previous sell-out events of this type organised by the Quicksilver team; Nottingham's prestigious East Midlands Conference Centre, which has ample car-parking facilities within its own area of the main campus of the University of Nottingham.
Quicksilver's flagship event celebrates British speed and sporting excellence.
I hope you will join our celebration, and help us bring the World Water Speed Record back to Britain after an absence of almost 40 years.
If you are unsuccessful, there are still limited tickets to the event available to purchase via the Quicksilver website.
Tables of ten are available for £450.00 or individual seats at £45.00 each.
