Available from QM Solutions is a range of media pourer stackers from Biotool; these laboratory machines automate the process of making agar filled Petri dishes to your specification
There are several different models available depending on your application.
There is the Petriswiss PS900, the Petriswiss PS20 and the Classic Line.
Biotool's modular classic line has set the standards in media processing for many years, made up of three modules.
The Classic Filler handles up to 1200 dishes per hour (x89-96mm) using a sterile and reliable process.
It offers easy handling, easy volume setting and calibration of the double head peristaltic pump.
The Classic Feeder offers continuous loading without interruption of the filling process.
It allows the pre-filling of 120 dishes and continuous refill for an uninterrupted workflow.
The Classic Stacker stacks and transports the dishes onto the stacking table for cooling and solidification.
The stacks height (2-15 dishes per stack) is freely selectable contingent on the laboratory process (storage/packing) and eliminates manual restacking to tradable heights.
The Petriswiss PS900 offers high throughput automated Petri dish filling.
It has many functions such as stacking dishes to any height (up to 20 dishes) the ten roller pump ensures it has a uniform and non pulsatory media delivery with rates up to 60ml/min.
There is also an AntiDrop function.
You can define the dosing quantity per dish rate, the pause times, the AntiDrop and also enable media smoothing.
There are several printing options with the PS900; labels can have text or barcode.
The feed unit allows 400 dishes to be loaded; the feeder too can be loaded on the fly as well as the removing the finished product this allows the machine to run all day if desired.
The Petriswiss PS20 is a compact small volume Petri dish filler.
It fills batches of 20 Petri dishes at a time.
The unit fills sets of 20 dishes and these are available directly in the PetriRack.
The dishes are safely stacked in the PetriRack and can even be transported, chilled or incubated in the rack.
The rack can be fully autoclaved.
Of course, the dishes can also be taken continuously from the rack.
It is ideal for production of small, special-purpose agar batches.
