Fluorotechnics, an emerging global company developing and selling fluorescence products to the pharmaceutical, biotech and life science markets, has appointed John Fletcher as non-executive director
John Fletcher recently retired after six years as the CEO of Coles, one of the two largest retail companies in Australia.
Prior to this he spent most of his professional career with Brambles Industries, the now US$5.3 billion global provider of transport and logistical support services.
He held a number of senior executive roles at Brambles including general manager of the transport division in 1982, commercial director Europe in 1984, managing director CHEP Australia in 1986, managing director Brambles Australia in 1988 and chief executive of Brambles Industries from 1993 to 2001.
In welcoming Fletcher's appointment to the board, Fluorotechnics chief executive officer Duncan Veal said: "John is well known and highly respected and we are privileged to have him on our board to help our company with its global expansion".
Fletcher was a non-executive director of Telstra for six years and is a fellow of the CPA.
He is also currently the executive chairman of Midas Australia .
John Fletcher was among the first investors in Fluorotechnics in 2002.
