Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched the HERAcell i series of cell culture CO2 incubators.
The HERAcell i series combines the iCAN touch-screen user interface with ContraCon contamination control, which uses a moist-heat process to decontaminate the chamber overnight without the need to remove components.
The series is available with non-corrosive electropolished stainless steel interiors or with pure copper antimicrobial surfaces to minimise contamination.
Operational prompts, performance feedback and graphic displays are provided by the iCAN door-mounted touch-screen control, providing the information necessary to achieve optimal culture conditions while minimising the risk of error.
Short parameter recovery times are achieved via a mechanical convection system and in-chamber sensors make sample humidity recovery five times faster than in ordinary chambers.
Available with a 150- or 240-litre chamber, the HERAcell i series has a range of options and accessories, including a choice of either thermal conductivity or dual-beam IR CO2 sensors and segmented inner doors which enable selective access.
The user can incorporate oxygen control capabilities for hypoxic or hyperoxic conditions.
