Photron has announced it is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the company this month.
The high-speed imaging systems and image analysis software manufacturer's personnel from Europe, the US and Japan celebrated in Tokyo at its annual sales and marketing meeting.
Andrew Bridges, director of sales and marketing at Photron, said: 'We are pleased to announce our 40 years of excellence in the high-speed imaging industry.
'Until 2000, our cameras were 'badged' and sold as Kodak products.
'Since then, our Photron label of high-speed digital imaging and image processing software products have helped establish a new standard in slow-motion imaging and analysis.' He added: 'We are proud that our product line of high-speed imaging cameras and systems has consistently delivered the highest resolution and the highest speeds (currently up to 5,400 fps at 1000 x 1000 pixels) available.' Photron said it is garnering international attention for providing high-speed, high-definition TV imaging to 5,400 frames per second for sporting events during the Beijing 2008 games.
The company's latest camera, the Fastcam MC2 is a two-head, high-speed imager.
Designed for flexibility, the camera can be easily integrated into a production line for automation fault-finding tasks.
