Chromatide has announced it has formed a partnership with Separation Products' Kromasil, a brand of Akzo Nobel, to develop improved chromatography media for chiral purification.
The aim of the collaboration is to develop and bring to market improved silica-based high-performance liquid chromatography media, with particular emphasis in the area of chiral purification.
This partnership combines Chromatide's skills and experience in the area of polymer synthesis for use in a range of applications including synthesis and chromatography, with Akzo Nobel's expertise in the business of developing, producing and marketing materials for use in separation techniques.
Dr Don Wellings, chief science officer at Chromatide, said: 'This collaboration allows us to apply our expertise in developing polymers for use in chromatographic techniques with the knowledge that products resulting from this collaboration will be marketed very quickly via Akzo Nobel's well established routes.'
