Gerhardt has extended its range of nitrogen/crude protein analysers with the addition of Dumatherm, an instrument for the determination of nitrogen according to Dumas.
Utilising sample sizes from 0.5mg to 1g, results are obtained within three minutes due to fast catalytic combustion.
All combustion gases are used in the analysis, with carbon dioxide and water being removed before elemental nitrogen is detected by the Thermo conductivity detector.
The forty-place auto sampler can be extended to 120 places giving up to six hours of unattended analyses.
The Dumatherm equipment is controlled and operated entirely by the Dumatherm Manager software package.
