The Chemical Business Association (CBA) has announced that its member companies can qualify for free SQAS/ESAD assessments thanks to an initiative by Sutton Winson.
The European Single Assessment Document (ESAD) and the Safety Quality Assessment System (SQAS) are assessments developed jointly by chemical suppliers and distributors and offer a standard way of evaluating the safety, health and environmental performance of chemical distributors, carriers and warehouse keepers.
They also offer a foundation for the independent Third Party Verification of a company's Responsible Care programme.
If there is sufficient interest Sutton Winson intends to continue its funding of ESAD/SQAS assessments on behalf of CBA member companies.
Initially, it is estimated that Sutton Winson's offer will cover a total of about 40 assessments.
