Labware held its 2008 Lims University conference at Bally's Hotel, Las Vegas, on 20-24 October.
This bi-annual event is organised specifically for Labware's Lims implementation team to ensure the company maintains high standards of expertise and a consistent, quality-driven approach to Lims implementation worldwide.
This year the conference attracted over 210 delegates.
Topics covered included updates on Labware's Weblims technology, Webservices and data migration tools.
Parallel workshop sessions covered industry-specific developments and best practices in areas such as pharmaceuticals, petro-chem, forensics, clinical trials, public health, contract analysis and biobanking.
The output from these sessions drives improvement of labware's application 'templates' used to fast-track Lims implementations in different industries.
The 2008 Labware University follows previously successful events in South Africa, Brazil and Australia.
Labware invests in the Labware University in order to ensure effective knowledge transfer from software developers and to harness experience from Lims implementations worldwide.
