Quantachrome Instruments has opened a second office in China and appointed two scientists from Tongji University as technical specialists.
Dr Xiang Xu will work at the new office in Shanghai, while Dr Hou Jin Qiang will be located in Beijing.
Dr Xu most recently developed porous solids for advanced propulsion systems.
Dr Hou's expertise includes preparation and characterisation of fullerenes and other carbon-based advanced materials.
The new office in Shanghai, which also includes training rooms, will serve east and south China.
A Quantachrome demo and application centre will soon be established in Shanghai.
