Lab21 has announced that it will be exhibiting its diagnostic and immunodiagnostic products at the Arab Health conference, including the new HCMV EIA assay.
The company said this regional exhibition will help raise the profile of Lab21 as it expands its diagnostics businesses internationally, and will provide it with the launch platform for its human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) EIA assay.
HCMV is a virus in the herpes group, which generally has no symptoms even after infection.
However, it can prove dangerous for pre- and post-natal infants and in immuno-compromised patients.
Lab21's immunodiagnostic division has also recently secured a number of new tenders to supply its diagnostic products to non-governmental organisations in Africa and Thailand.
This follows the recent Indian market launch of its syphilis assay.
