Qiagen has announced that Stephane Perrey has joined the company as president of its fully-owned subsidiary Qiagen KK on 1 January 2009.
He follows Kazuo Tokushige, who retired on 31 December 2008, and will lead Qiagen's further expansion in life sciences and the growing market of molecular diagnostics in Japan.
Perrey joined the company from Third Wave/Hologic Japan and previously held various positions in the Japanese in-vitro diagnostic industry.
In his new position at Qiagen, Perrey will assume responsibility for the company's overall business activities in Japan.
