The London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) has moved and is setting up residence at Imperial College London from 29 July to 12 August 2009.
Marking its 50th anniversary, the event will explore the concept of science serving mankind.
Guest speakers will provide insight and debate into topics including renewable energies, cancer treatment in 2009, nuclear research and Darwin's influence in modern scientific thought.
Prof Sir Roy Anderson, the rector of Imperial College, will welcome participants to LIYSF, alongside keynote speaker Prof John Ellis, a physicist from the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN).
Ellis will provide students with an insight into the question of the existence of humanity.
He will be joined by Prof Richard O'Kennedy, president of LIYSF and a specialist in biochemistry.
Attracting 300 science students globally, aged 17-21 years old and from more than 60 participating countries, LIYSF is dedicated to catalysing interactions between young people throughout the world, with science as a central theme.
