Labcell, the UK distributor for Decagon Devices, has introduced the Aqualab Series 4 TEV and Series 4 TE water activity analysers.
Features include a redesigned sensor block that simplifies cleaning, compliance with the requirements of the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 rule regarding electronic records and signatures and an improved user interface.
In addition, the Aqualab Series 4 TEV is claimed to be the first water activity analyser to feature push-button toggling between dewpoint and capacitance sensors.
The Aqualab Series 4 benefits from a redesigned sensor block that hinges upwards to provide access for loading and unloading the sample cup.
When the sensor block is lowered and latched shut, it forms a vapour-tight seal, which is intended to facilitate cleaning.
The Series 4 TE and TEV models benefit from temperature equilibration, with the operating temperature ranging from 15C to 50C.
Measurements are obtained in less than five minutes and the instruments offer a measurement range of 0.030aw to 1.000aw, an accuracy of +/-0.003aw and a repeatability of +/-0.001aw.
To complement the instruments, the company has introduced Aqualink Report Generator (RG): a software package intended to help users organise and visualise their water activity data and comply with the requirements of the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11.
Aqualink RG captures the measurements from the Aqualab Series 4 instruments and enables users to prepare reports based on the pertinent data.
These reports can be saved so that they can be rerun on new datasets.
