Porvair Sciences will showcase its latest developments in microplate technology at the Achema 2009 exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.
These will include the Biovyon sample-preparation microplates and columns.
The new range of Protein A, C8 and C18 96-well plates and columns is based on proprietary ultra-clean Biovyon solid-state media and Activyon technologies.
The range eliminates the channelling effects found with traditional protein and SPE separation products.
This enables higher purity separations and shorter processing times, as flow rates can be increased.
For laboratories tasked with sealing small to medium batches of microplates, Porvair will also exhibit the Miniseal - an entry-level semi-automated thermal sealer.
The device can produce an accurate and tight seal on any SBS proposed standard, deep well or PCR microplate from 3 to 62mm in height.
The 24-well Minivap sample concentrator is suitable for scientists looking to remove the traditional drug-discovery bottleneck of solvent evaporation in 24-well microplates prior to analysis or reconstitution in buffer.
The 24-well Minivap takes just minutes to dry down a plate.
It fits into any standard fume cupboard and is ideal for labs tasked with smaller numbers of individual 24-well plates.
