Biomin will sponsor this year's International Society for Mycotoxicology (ISM) Conference to be held from 9-11 September 2009 in Tulln, Austria.
The global discussion forum will focus on 'Worldwide Mycotoxins Reduction in Food and Feed Chains'.
Participants from within and outside the European Union will extend the already existing linkages on reduction of mycotoxins contamination within continental and national networks to a global level.
Biotechnological solutions for the reduction of the most relevant mycotoxins that concern agrifood producers and consumers will be discussed in four scientific sessions: pre-harvest mycotoxins reduction; post-harvest mycotoxins reduction; bioavailability and detoxification of mycotoxins; and advanced technologies to reduce and detect toxigenic fungi and mycotoxins.
In each session, invited speakers will give keynote lectures on the latest technologies in a specific area of interest.
In addition to oral and poster presentations, round table discussions of the conference topics will take place to enable dialogue between scientists and the food and feed industry as well as researchers from all over of the world.
An exhibition area has been booked for companies to introduce their services related to analysis and testing material for mycotoxins, prevention and control as well as consultancy, training and other services.
A couple of spotlight presentations will also be given by exhibitors parallel to the scientific programme.
