The EX355R from TTi is a compact laboratory benchtop power supply generating voltages from 0 to 35V at currents from 0 to 5A.
The power supply uses entirely convection-based cooling and is silent in operation.
The model incorporates twin four-digit meters giving resolutions of 10mV and 1mA, respectively, at all voltages and currents.
Local or remote sensing can be selected by a front panel switch, with remote sensing providing perfect regulation and accurate metering at the load regardless of connection lead lengths.
The EX355R uses mixed-mode regulation technology, which combines switch-mode pre-regulation with linear post-regulation.
Special techniques are used to maintain very high efficiency while achieving a noise level that is close to that of a pure linear regulator.
Line and load regulation are both better than 0.01 per cent, and output noise is less than 2mV - even at full power.
The unit has been designed to meet the stringent requirements of relevant IEC standards for safety and EMC.
The output is short-circuit proof and is protected against external voltages and reverse currents.
The power supply incorporates the latest TTi safety binding post terminals.
These will accept 4mm fixed shroud plugs - a mandatory safety requirement for an increasing number of organisations - but can also accept fork connectors or bare wires.
