A range of pipette tip columns that are designed to work with leading oligonucleotide synthesiser instruments, such as the ABI Model 3900 synthesiser, has been launched by 3Prime.
These columns are available with two different solid supports; either a controlled porosity glass (CPG) or a low-swelling polystyrene for greater flexibility.
Both types of columns are available for three different synthesis scales: 50 nanomoles, 200 nanomoles and one micromole, and are sold individually, or in batches of 200 columns.
A precise mould ensures that the pipette tip columns are made with minimal lot-to-lot variance.
The quantity of CPG and polystyrene solid synthesis supports used in the columns are measured with high accuracy and are quality controlled for 3Prime by integrated DNA technologies (IDT) in actual oligonucleotide synthesis tests.
This results in consistent column performance, both in terms of high synthesis yield and high purity oligonucleotide products.
The solution flow characteristics of these columns allow them to be used with no modification to the synthesiser software protocols.
