Bioo Scientific has announced the launch of its Maxdiscovery toxicity assay kits that monitor in-vivo toxicity by measuring liver and heart function in serum samples.
The kits provide simple, convenient, colorimetric determination of well-characterised functional markers of the liver and heart.
The company said they are ideal tools to monitor toxic effects caused by administration of siRNA, DNA plasmids, transfection agents or other therapeutic treatments during preclinical studies.
The assays can be used in a range of mammals, including mice and rats, providing a tool to assess and reduce the toxicity of drugs formulations and to improve drug delivery methods.
Assays are available for alanine transaminase, aspartate transminase, alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, cholesterol, and creatine kinase.
