Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST) has reported that more than 7000 of its credit-card style Visualize phosphor products were sold in FY 2008/9.
The Visualize (VisualizeIR, Visualize and UVisualize) products use specialised phosphor coatings to provide a safe image of the beam for infrared (IR), visible to near infrared and ultraviolet lasers.
This addresses the problems of profile measurements and component alignment of laser and laser-diode modules.
The Visualize range provides optimum performance and safety for laser users, engineers and scientists.
The Visualize products are also available as a 25mm disk and clip-on wand (for applications where frequent component positioning is required) as well as a bench-mounted head.
This features a free-standing standard mounting post and post holder, allowing centre adjustments from 85 to 230mm.
Visualize products feature emissions for safe-viewing using goggles, with no fading, even when continuously irradiated.
They can be used in transmission or reflective viewing.
