3 March 2010 - Warnex has announced that its Medical Laboratories division has met all criteria for the renewal of its laboratory accreditation by Cola, a US healthcare accreditation organisation.
Accreditation is given to laboratories that apply rigid standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing and pass a rigorous onsite laboratory survey. Cola standards meet or exceed requirements under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Warnex was initially accredited by Cola in 2007 for a period of two years and obtained the renewal of this accreditation in December 2009. 3 July 2009 - Warnex has announced that its Medical Laboratories division has obtained ISO 15189:2007 accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC); the ISO 15189 standard addresses the quality management system of medical laboratories to better serve the needs of both patients and clinical personnel responsible for the care of those patients.
16 June 2009 - Warnex has announced that it has concluded the acquisition of all the issued and outstanding shares of Molecular World, a laboratory located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, that specialised in human DNA identification, including forensic DNA testing.
