HEL offers CAT systems that have been designed to provide a simple easy-to-use tool for hydrogenation and high-pressure reaction screening.
They can be used directly in the PB4 zones, stirring hot plates, or oil baths, and are sold as complete units.
The CAT 7 and 24 allow the use of seven or 24 open-top vials to be used at high pressure and temperature.
Typical test volume is around 10ml for CAT 7 and 2ml for CAT 24.
The vessel's head is fitted with coolant connection and cold fingers that minimise solvent loss and cross-contamination.
The CAT 18 is a simpler version that does not include cold condensing fingers.
It is designed to be used with 18 standard 2ml HPLC vials - with our without septa in place.
