Brookfield Engineering has launched a free whitepaper, entitled 'Choosing the Correct CAP Instrument for Automotive Paints'.
The resource addresses typical shear rates, torque considerations, spindle selection, options for data collection/analysis and more as applied to new formulations and coatings.
Brookfield said its CAP viscometers are suitable for testing at high shear rates, providing information on flow behaviour and ensuring that each batch will meet the requirements of the application.
The CAP 1000+ features a fixed standard speed of either 750rev/min or 900rev/min; optional, alternative custom fixed speeds are available.
The CAP-2000+ offers selectable speeds of 5-1000rev/min in single speed increments, offering flexibility for dealing with changing formulations and for performing flow-curve testing.
