The Africa Microreactor Flow System from Syrris is a fully automated and flexible modular apparatus for automated flow chemistry.
Controlled by the Africa software, unattended synthesis can occur, allowing research-and-development chemists to accelerate compound synthesis and reaction optimisation for drug discovery and process development.
The Africa software automatically detects which modules are connected, so the user can select a predefined workflow or create a new one with the drag-and-drop interface.
The user enters the reagents, solvents and molar concentrations, followed by data on stochiometry, reaction time, temperature and the desired quantity.
All injection, sampling and collection timings are automatically controlled, leaving the user free to perform other tasks within the laboratory.
Each experiment is automated by the software and all data is logged.
If the HPLC module is connected, a sample of each reaction is automatically taken, diluted and injected into the HPLC for analysis.
Resulting chromatograms can be produced, integrated or tabulated as required.
Once the experiment is complete, reports and graphs can be generated in real time and data can be exported as csv files.
