Craic Technologies has introduced the Microspectra 121 UV-visible-NIR microspectrophotometer.
This system is specifically designed to rapidly, accurately and non-destructively analyse many types of microscopic samples by UV-visible-NIR spectroscopy.
The analysis of samples can be done by absorbance, reflectance and fluorescence from the deep UV to the near infrared.
Applications include the forensic analysis of trace evidence, questioned documents and currency, the vitrinite reflectance of coal and spectral analysis geological samples and the measurement of protein both as crystals and in solution.
The system can be configured to image microscopic samples in the UV, visible and NIR regions.
Combined with the company's Traceable Standards, which are specifically designed for use with microspectrophotometers and calibrated using Standard Reference Materials from NIST, the Microspectra 121 is a powerful tool for use in any laboratory.
The Microspectra 121 solution integrates an advanced spectrophotometer with a custom-built UV-visible-NIR-range microscope and software to enable scientists to analyse all manner of microscopic samples.
