Hamilton has announced its Hamilton ARC concept, a sensor family for process control that includes pH, dissolved oxygen and conductivity measurements.
ARC sensors have a robust, direct, standard interface to the PLC, sending analytical signal directly to an analogue process control system.
Bruno Waller, director of sales laboratory and sensors at Hamilton, said: 'the digital connection plus the onboard processor and memory built into every ARC Sensor means they can be pre-calibrated and configured in the lab.' The ARC sensors' built-in electronics convert the low-amperage measurement signal, enabling unique sensor functions.
They are less prone to interruption in challenging production environments than classical sensors.
ARC sensors are available with standard analogue (4-20mA) and digital Modbus interfaces built in and supported directly from the sensor.
