Elliot Scientific is now offering a lightweight benchtop vibration isolation system to labs in the UK and Ireland from Kinetic Systems of Boston.
Specifically designed for portability, the Ergonomic Low-Profile Format (ELPF) has a self-contained design that provides movement without causing damage to the vibration isolators.
As an alternative to static heavyweight models, ELPF is a platform for vibration isolation of sensitive devices such as atomic force microscopes, micro-hardness testers, analytical balances, profilometers, audio and other equipment.
It is suitable for use in Class 100 cleanrooms as well as laboratories.
With a footprint of 410mm x 490mm and a weight of just 18kg, the 75mm-high platform is portable through the use of ergonomically designed recessed handles.
A choice of two models can support loads of 45kg or 136kg on self-levelling platforms with active-air systems.
Isolation efficiencies of 95 per cent vertical and 92 per cent horizontal at 10Hz are typical.
The top, which can be ordered with or without mounting holes, can be aluminium plate, ferromagnetic stainless steel, plastic or anti-static laminate.
Other tabletop sizes can be built to customer specifications.
ELPF is part of a range of vibration isolation equipment from Kinetic Systems that is available through Elliot Scientific.
