Celsum Technologies is offering the IdentipolQA instrument for rapid analysis of thermoplastic compounds.
IdentipolQA uses a very small sample, of a few milligrams, and tests it using hybrid thermal analysis technology.
The instrument may be 'taught' what results are expected from a 'good' sample, and a quality index (QIS) score is provided in a Scada-style output, so that there is no need for skilled operators to interpret complex graphs.
Set-up is fast and most users can be measuring samples within half an hour.
Tests with the IdentipolQA are not affected by additives such as fillers, carbon black or pigments.
The IdentipolQA ensures that the material is 'fit for purpose', reduces the risk of incorrect or poor materials entering the production chain, and reduces the risk of substandard performance of the final product.
Wastage and costs are also said to be reduced.
IdentipolQA may be used to evaluate alternative materials quickly and at less cost.
