The Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) has added Kei Koizumi to its line-up for Labautomation2010, to take place from 23-27 January 2010 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, California.
Kei Koizumi is assistant director for federal research and development, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
His presentation will focus on the distribution and use of federal grant dollars through the National Institute of Health (NIH) to fund research-and-development initiatives and more specifically technology equipment purchases.
Koizumi also plans to detail how scientists should go about seeking federal funding for technology equipment and how to incorporate this money into their research initiatives.
The Labautomation2010 Plenary Speaker Series also includes: R Graham Cooks, professor of analytical chemistry, Purdue University, who will present 'Latest Applications and Phenomena with Mass Spectrometry'; and Hod Lipson, associate professor, mechanical and aerospace engineering, Cornell University, who will present 'Latest Advances in Self-Aware Robots'.
