Elutrasep is now offering single-use, disposable hollow fibre filters for laboratory filtration and purification of specialty fluids.
'Applications such as media broth sterilisation, cell separation and protecting expensive HPLC columns are just a few of the areas where our hollow fibre products can compete against traditional filters,' said Jason Holt, president and chief executive of Elutrasep.
Most hollow fibre applications are in the cell harvesting or medical dialysis markets and not ideally priced or intended as a single-use laboratory filter.
'Higher flow rates and the exceptional ability to process turbid or viscous fluids will provide huge advantages over traditional flat membrane products,' added Holt.
