In January 2010, Lec Medical will be launching a wire-drawer system for its PE507, PG507, PE907 and PG907 refrigerators.
It is the first drawer system available for the company's glass-door refrigerators (PG507 and PG907) and will give pharmacists increased visibility of the fridges' contents, allowing them to gain quick and easy access to drugs at the back of the fridge.
The PE507DP2 and PG507DP2 consist of four drawers and the PE907DP2 and PG907DP2 consist of six drawers.
All ranges include a basket and the drawers have compartment partitions for optimum storage and to aid with stock rotation.
These drawers will give a more comprehensive storage offering and a more practical alternative to shelving, which will enable pharmacists to make more efficient use of space when storing drugs and vaccines.
The glass-door fridges with drawers (PG507DP2 and PG907DP2) will also help pharmacists to improve energy efficiency because they can see where the product is stored and can therefore open the door for a shorter period of time.
Its pharmacy fridges are environmentally friendly, conforming to recommendations for storage of vaccines outlined by the National Pharmacy Association (NPA).
Lec Medical fridges are fully lockable, preventing unauthorised access to ensure medicines remain secure.
An external LED temperature display makes it easy to check the internal temperature and a fanned cooling system gives better temperature stability and rapid temperature recovery after door opening.
An audio/visual alarm system activates if the fridge goes beyond the set temperature parameters and an open-door sensor alerts the user if a door has been left open.
Customers also have access to a large network of service engineers from Lec Medical and GDPA.
