GRI has joined together with Kapa Biosystems to offer the G-Storm GS1 thermal cycler with 96 Fast Block and 1500rxn Kapa 2G Fast Hotstart Readymix.
This offer comes after the release of Kapa Biosystems' application note: 'Fast PCR: G-Storm thermal cyclers'.
The application note states that, for routine Fast PCR, a G-Storm thermal cycler with Fast Block and Kapa 2G Fast Hotstart Readymix offers high speed, performance and convenience, and GRI supports this claim.
The G-Storm GS1 thermal cycler is said to be suitable for molecular biologists looking for a cycler with advanced features, accuracy and performance, ease of use and economy.
When this is put together with a G-Storm Fast Block, the user will see ramp rates of up to 6deg CS-1.
By increasing the speed of the thermal block, protocols can be completed in less time, enabling more samples to be run per day.
The Kapa 2G Fast DNA Polymerase is a second-generation (2G) enzyme derived through a process of molecular evolution.
The polymerase was engineered for higher processivity and speed, offering extension rates as low as 1sec per kilobase.
