Thermo Fisher Scientific is providing life scientists with the opportunity to use its ABgene Diamond Ultra PCR plates on a trial basis as 'Plate of the Month' for March 2010.
This 384-well PCR plate is claimed to ensure reliable performance on medium to high-throughput robotic handling systems for a smooth and efficient workflow.
The polymer used in the ABgene Diamond Ultra PCR plate is warp-resistant, ensuring consistent plate dimensions during thermal cycling.
This helps maintain the integrity of seals, reduces evaporation issues and ensures easy removal of plates from thermal cycler blocks for consistent, optimal performance in automated PCR and sequencing applications.
The thin-walled well design of the Diamond Ultra Plate ensures greater amplification efficiency by delivering rapid and consistent heat transfer, while the diamond-like clarity of the clear option allows quick visual plate checks.
The properties of the polymer lessens splash back during pipetting steps, ensuring accurate liquid handling even at low dispensing volumes.
Diamond Ultra 384-well plates are also available in opaque white for enhanced sensitivity in QPCR applications.
Thermo Fisher Scientific will give away five packs of Thermo Scientific ABgene Diamond Ultra 384-well plates (each containing 50 plates).
The trial is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability.
To apply, email contact details and preference for clear or white Diamond Ultra Plates to toby.hampshire@thermofisher.com with 'POM Fast Block' in the subject line or visit www.thermo.com/gen and please mention Laboratorytalk when claiming.
